Summer Heat and Watermelon Chicken Treat

It's been hot here in Desha on the farm. That's typical of summertime in Arkansas. Hot and humid. 

When the heat is on I like to cool off with some tasty watermelon.

Apparently, so do chickens!

Life on the farm can be very relaxing and enjoyable. Sure, there is always work to do and it is wonderful to have family and friends who help out.

These days I like to enjoy the peace of my farm. The land is beautiful, fit to even be a place to visit, like a park. Some day I might turn it into that.

But for now, I like the peace and quiet and the spiritual rejuvenation that the farm gives me.
