Thank you for signing up! This newsletter is free and we promise never to give out your email address or personal information. Our goal is just to communicate with you. When you first signed up I hope you had a chance to look around my website, janinewinters-frenchtwists.com. If you did you probably saw that I have an interest in many things in my life.

I have lived a good long life and I am grateful for the many blessings. Some of these came after dealing with trials and tribulations, various challenges, many of which are detailed in my memoir.

Why I Wrote My Memoir

I spent a lot of time thinking about my life story. And I researched to find out more about it.

But why did I want to have a memoir? Why tell my story?

I suppose like most people I had a few reasons. First of all, I wanted my family, my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to know more about me. I remember when I was young seeing a portrait of my great-grandmother when she was twenty years old. I marveled at it and wondered about her life.

I also realized that I had led a challenging life. And I have had many triumphs over the years despite troubles and much travel.

After my beloved husband, John Winters, passed away I was faced with new challenges.

I didn’t want others to spread false information about me and my life.

I owed it to myself and to my family to tell the true story and this motivated me to share my journey.

Life Lessons

One of the benefits that came from doing a memoir is that I could look back over my life, the struggles and the triumphs, and see how all my experiences taught me much about life.

These life lessons are very important to me. I hope that in sharing them I will help others, especially my younger family members, the descendants who are living their life and finding their way and purpose.

Most important to me is to be loving and kind. I had to learn to forgive, not just others, but also myself. We all make mistakes. But if we learn from our mistakes then we grow. And hopefully, we can avoid making the same mistakes again.

Other life lessons I have learned include not giving up when the going gets tough. My experiences have included learning much about business and I have had some success. I also have learned to paint, to cook, to do hydroponic farming, and more. You can read more about those experiences on my website.

I hope that you continue to read my newsletters and visit my website. And please feel free to tell others. We are building a community of fellow readers and life voyagers and this makes me very happy. Thank you for reading and may your days be filled with life lessons, joy and love!
